I was talking with a friend who was a CEO in Chicago. I don’t recall the context of our discussion, but I remember him becoming agitated and saying, “People think business is all about money! Don’t they know business is all about people?” I’ll never forget those words. In fact, they’re so meaningful to me, they’re on the back of my business cards and at the bottom of my email signature.

You’re already successful! I know that, because all of my readers are successful. Maybe you don’t want to pursue a new degree, but perhaps the message, “It’s never too late!” is still relevant to you. What do you want to achieve or do that you haven’t yet achieved or done?

What are you focusing on, what turns are you looking into? In our busy lives, it’s easy to look immediately in front of ourselves, at the tasks we need to complete today, this week. It requires intention to look up and think about the future. What do you want to accomplish in the coming year or years? Set aside time to think about it, envision it and plan for it.
Masterful Delegation: You can't — and shouldn't — do it all yourself. There are at least three major considerations when deciding when to delegate. First, in the interest of your firm and your client you must decide who can do the work effectively. Second, ask yourself if this is an appropriate opportunity to provide a junior colleague with a learning experience. Third, strive to spend as much of your work time as possible using your Highest Talents™ doing work you love and making your greatest contributions.
Leadership is sometimes described as accomplishing goals through the efforts of others. Positive leaders use the best in themselves and bring out the best in others to energize their workplace and achieve positive goals together. How can you use the best in yourself?
